Get to know us Welcome to MOTARD, the domain for purpose-built motorcycle touring luggage which are built to last. Founded by avid riders who understand the unique needs of the motorcycle touring community, our mission is to provide Rugged, Functional, and No-Nonsense luggage solutions for every MOTARD in you. We are a bunch of semi-middle-aged pals who raced and rallied in our early times, spent more time in garages and workshops than at home, dreamt of a career which only a handful can accomplish with the given opportunities of “freedom”. We raced quite heavily, we broke our bikes, we broke our bones. Those were the times of the long back gone 2 stroke smokers. When age caught up unknowingly fast, and when racing and rallying didn’t work for us anymore, we took to touring. It’s not that we didn’t tour before, we did, but not as rigorously as now and what it meant for us hereon. So we packed, tied whatever bags we had on our carriers and off we went.. At this point we always believed that touring is all about throwing a couple of bags on our rear saddles, tying them together and setting off, but not until we practically experienced the complexity and pain with such a setup. This disorganized setup created severe imbalance while riding, and not to forget, the pain it gave us while untying and unpacking during our halts and also packing them all up when we are setting off again. And during rains, off-course we had those good old blue tarpaulins to keep the luggage dry, overall it was always a clumsy setup. That’s when we actually became serious about specially designed luggage for motorcycle, and when we tested one, trust us, it made a whole lot of difference. This one luggage totally changed our perspectives on motorcycle touring, where we could load and organize our luggage on the saddle more effectively and comfortably. The best part was the unchanged handling of the bike when fully loaded, which used to be notoriously imbalanced with our old conventional setups. This is when this whole idea of catering to all our long-distance riders with strong, reliable and purpose built motorcycle touring luggage came up
